Off on this health bettering/weight loss quest I have gone. If you know me at all, you know I love to try everything...
First things first...the juicing...

The Power Juicer Express
I actually bought mine at Bed Bath and Beyond, for more than this online price. Super ticks me off but let's move on. I read on one of the cancer blogs that apple lemon carrot juice was great for cancer patients. It's delicious as well. To be honest, I have been going to the farmers market on Sundays and getting anything I can get my hands on to juice. The cleanup kinda sucks, but I feel like it is totally worth the benefits.
Next the brain cleansing...

Richard Williams, my certified hypnotherapist!
I can actually hear my mothers voice saying "Omg you need to move back to Montana, now!". Hypnotherapy is pretty bad ass. I am only on my second session and am totally in love. Richard came to me from Julia Freedman Marx my sweet friend and dog fairy. I was very nervous my first session that I would say or do something that I didn't want. Richard quickly put me at ease and helped me realize this isn't a circus side-show act. Your conscious mind is only about 12% of your brain, so if you are fighting the other 88% to make a life change, of course failure is easy. I liked when he put it like that. During my first session, I was thinking, "I don't think I am under" some of the time. Then I went home, and with careless abandon cleaned my entire house. And when I say cleaned, I mean scrubbed. The walls. Steamed the curtains. I was on fire.
Now the working out...
I have been doing some lil stuff on my own, but this weekend starts the serious shit. Tomorrow I have my first training session at LA Fitness with trainer Shaun. I am only doing once a week do to my sched, but I am really excited for the accountability of having to show up and have someone push me. Saturday, started Cardio Barre, a low-impact, ballet-style cardio class for 10 weeks. My sweet friend and bride-to-be Melissa bought she and I a Groupon pass and I think it's gonna be great, but let's talk about where I got my ass kicked tonight...

Omg, the spinning class at Made in LA
I have never. Ever. Sweat in a class like this. In. My. Life. My friend Lily recommended this place tonight, and I though, "Why the hell not! I've never done a spinning class." Um wow. You walk in this place, it's small dark and humid. Then the class starts. Booming rock music speeds you along. The sweat was pouring off me. My legs felt like jello. Correction, FEEL like jello. And it was worth every second. I thought the instructor, Andrea, would ne a yeller, but she was exactly the opposite. She pushed us, but in a great inspiring way. I walked out feeling empowered and strong. I don't know how this will work into my work sched, but I def want to go again.
I just realized it's 3:43 am. Oh my. Maybe this energy boost was more than I thought!
